The hideaway base frame actually breaks at the same place. The poor quality of the castings with the many air pockets ensures the breakage, which are mainly caused by the strong vibrations. Welding is virtually impossible, it would break again. This simple stainless steel sheet (1.4301 grade in 2mm thickness) can be glued or riveted and the grill is fixed again.
